Bainbridge Island, Washington
Builder: Jim Ingalls

The owners wanted a classic shingled house on their sunny low bank waterfront lot. The program called for 3,800 sq. ft. of living space with a detached three car garage with room over it. The plan layout is suited for informal family living, and features an open dining room as a focal point for the entry and view to the water as well as a large family room off the kitchen. Outside there is a long veranda facing the water and a prominent tapered stone chimney. The interiors feature a great deal of built-in casework. The house utilizes a ground-source heat pump for geothermal energy.
