This shingled house occupies a clearing in four peaceful wooded acres in Indianola, Washington.

The program called for 1,800 square feet of house and workspace for a single person, with a guest suite upstairs. Natural materials and finished were used throughout due to the chemical sensitivity of the owner. Features of the design include radiant heated strained concrete floors, natural citrus oil wood finishes, cotton batt insulation, zinc metal roofing, and Douglas fir windows and cabinets.
