This is a relaxed family house, sited on a waterfront hillside near Seattle, built for entertaining and active recreation on Lake Washington. The design was to project some formality, but also have an open floor plan for relaxed living. Priorities for design were indoor-outdoor living and flow, opening up views from all major rooms.
